“Chicago’s Future Superstar” Jason Ivy builds anticipation for debut album with genre-bending new release “Crush”.

Chicago singer-songwriter Jason Ivy yesterday released his psychedelic Neo-Soul single “Crush” as part of the buildup to his upcoming album “Divided”. The track’s soundscape is driven by live saxophone and Kaytranada-esque electronic instrumentation. The drums provide the structure around which the groovy bass line and ethereal synths are able to shine. The real showstopper is no doubt Jason’s incredible falsetto vocals as high notes mesh perfectly with the production.

Jason shows great range in pushing Alt-RnB into Neo Soul and Psychedelic Rock territories. Backed by a striking animated music video from an Afro-Japanese artist, it delves into a spectrum of emotions, conveyed in a relatable way by Ivy. The track’s production by RIAA Platinum Producer Buddafly Wolf adds to its allure. “Crush” showcases Ivy’s ability to captivate audiences worldwide with his unique blend of soulful, psychedelic soundscapes and thought-provoking lyricism.

Don’t you tell me that we couldn’t make it work
Instead of dreaming on and on ’bout what we could be
