We out here looking for light in the cold vacuum of space.

Since Eskom can’t provide, we think our Spotlights can illuminate you differently. Now that Summer is becoming more prominent by the day, a renewed sense of excitement that had been subdued by the cold rings through the cultural atmosphere. After two long years, we are finally going into an end-of-year Summer without any lockdowns or weird lingering protocols. Festival season is here and soon we’ll be in the thick of Dezemba. The Streets are calling, the Fields have been DM-ing and Summer ’22 is nearly upon us.

Kicking off this week’s Spotlight is our Weekly Artist Pick which is a mix of two up-and-comers Locals Only and Bailey Pickford. With the release of ‘Remember December’ (which we aren’t going to be forgetting any time soon) the team-up of local CT band Locals Only and video-wunder Bailey Pickford to make a nostalgic, surf-rock ode to road trips, friends and making the most of those special Summer days.
