Last week I discovered an artist by the name of NORA and accidentally found my new go-to punk track to ignite my spirit. This year is a big one for NORA and his career, with the release of the new track, titled “Natural Disaster”. In collaboration with BIG KILL’s Cayne McKenzie and Andrew Huckaliak, the new single “Natural Disaster” liberates the rebellious spirit within NORA. With a sound that comes from a blend of Punk Rock, Post-Punk, Shoegaze, Post-Rock, Soft Grunge and Surf Rock, there is bound to be something in it for everyone, from the strong vocal presence and lively drums to the distorted guitars and the addictive lyricism.

Braeden, under the stage name NORA, is a 24-year-old mixed-race musical talent hailing from Toronto, Canada. Since the release of their debut EP “Strange To Bloom” they have played with Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, Crawlers and many more all in under a year as a new band. NORA has plans for another project to release in the first half of this year, as well as more singles and a tour. He explains: “When I’m on stage and feel the crowd’s energy building as they connect with a song inspired by a former coworker’s attempt to undermine me with the same words now fueling the audience’s excitement, it’s an incredibly empowering moment.”

Braeden, also known as NORA, embarked on his musical journey at the age of 12, finding solace in skateboarding and the art of songwriting amidst the challenges of growing up without a father figure. Raised by his hardworking mother and sister, Braeden turned to his passions to fill the void. At around 23 years old he dropped “Strange To Bloom” as NORA, which has since received a small amount of international attention, currently at almost 500k streams. Shortly after the release, David Carione joined NORA to form the band. Having gone through multiple different guitar players and drummers, Braeden and David recruited Kaleb Lefebrve for the drums and Ashlee Hutchinson for the guitar.

“Natural Disaster” is just the start of this big year ahead, as NORA has ambitious plans, including a new project slated for release in the first half of the year, along with additional singles and a tour.
