SISTERS are here to make Noise and challenge musical norms.
SISTERS is an experiment. SISTERS is a resonance of brutalistic attack. SISTERS is a tender wavelength of self-expression. SISTERS is a child born of two polarities. Consisting of multi-instrumentalists Cameron Lofstrand and Tyla Burnett, SISTERS is essentially a safe space to explore sound, mood and the creative act in all its depth and facets.
Whilst SISTERS are a relatively new act they are quickly building a name for themselves with their powerful, dress-clad live performances. Tyla and Cameron will already be familiar names to many in the scene for their work as two-thirds of Black Math, with Cam on vocals and guitar and Tyla on Bass alongside drummer Acacia van Wyk.
Formed in 2014, as a sister act to Black Math, SISTERS have quietly made a name for themselves with their no-holds-barred performances. Unconstrained by limitations, they have given themselves the creative freedom to experiment and play around with a multitude of sounds.
Their unique soundscape and refreshing approach make SISTERS one of the most exciting bands in South Africa. So don’t miss out on what is sure to be an unforgettable performance from SISTERS this Saturday at No Strings Attached.
