Luukhanyo and The Hii Rollers will be one of our headlining acts at Up Close and Personal.
Luukhanyo is a 25-year-old R&B singer and rapper from Cape Town, South Africa, who has been making waves in the music industry with his unique style of songwriting. He is a multi-talented artist who expresses himself in a refreshingly honest manner, while maintaining a sense of familiarity that resonates with his listeners.
His most recent releases showcase his versatility as an artist with a captivating sound that effortlessly draws in his audience. His debut single, ‘FLOAT,’ which he produced, recorded and released himself (highlighting his impressive range of talents), features smooth, melodic choruses over warm yet groovy instrumentals. The group consists of Bassist Charlton Abrahams, Drummer Elton Abrahams, Guitarist Keanon Maccury, and Pianist Trulybles. The Hii Rollers blend a range of genres from Jazz, Soul, Hip-Hop, and even Rock to create a distinctive and fresh sound.
